Fun , Outgoing , Easy to talk to
I am currently about to finish my second year studying Psychology at Northumbria University in Newcastle. I was born in Carlisle in Cumbria but I am now living in Newcastle on a permanent basis, where I have lived since September 2010. My hobbies and interests include swimming for my university swim team, cooking, reading, going to the gym and working with children.
As someone who has recently encountered the University application process, I am knowledgeable on the procedures involved, what makes a good university application, how to choose a university and how to prepare for course interviews. As a member of my university swim and triathlon team, Psychology Society secretary and an active volunteer inside my university I am informed of the different opportunities available to students. I am able to provide advice on making the most of university, coping with university work and peer pressures and general welfare.
I am a non-judgemental individual and understand the emotional issues associated with relationships and sex. I can provide advice on a number of things about relationships in general having experienced two long-term ones myself. Also, I feel I am adept at providing a broad range of information and advice about sex including contraception, spicing up your sex life, how to handle regrets and one night stands.
Having successfully completed two years of university living on my own, with minimal support from my parents, I feel that I am in a good position to mentor young people on managing money, whether this is budgeting, prioritizing or spending advice. I, myself, am very good at saving money even if I have not always had part-time employment and feel that my experiences in this matter is relevant.
I believe I can offer advice on a wide range of issues. I feel that Hoursesmouth is a great way to share advice with others, whilst learning new skills myself. It will allow me to understand different situations and apply myself. As someone with a keen interest in Psychology, I feel that becoming a mentor will provide me with transferable skills in my future career.
