I've always believed in doing what I enjoy for a living - my background was originally as a horse trainer and competitive showjumper, where I learned a great deal about the discipline required to compete at a top level from my trainer, a two time olympic medal winner. I've learned that whatever you are doing, the same basic rules apply if you want to succeed.
For the last 15 years I've worked in print, and then web design and IT, and am now MD of a small web design and development firm.
Along the way I have dealt with success and failure, learning by my mistakes, but always enjoying solving the problems that have inevitably cropped up.
My aim is to live simply, create my own wealth, and achieve a balance in my work and personal life.

I've always found that the best advice I received has been from those who have experience, rather than learned knowledge. In the course of a varied career I've learned from numerous mistakes. I hope that I can pass some of what I have picked up along the way onto others and help them succeed.
