I'm a digital designer and strategist - I work with organistations to help them be more effective with what they do online. Before doing this, I co-ran a small record label, studied for two very different degrees, and worked in a lot of trendy bars to keep up with the rent.

While none of those things define me as a person, I'm lucky that I was able to try a lot of the different things I thought I would enjoy - so I've been able to express my passions for people, food, music and art through what I've been doing.

I've been on both sides of the job application process - I've seen some of the common mistakes people make, but that hasn't stopped me making them myself, and learning a little on the way.

There are so many different strands to the creative industries now, and so many organisations working on them. You should try to find the right match.

Interning

I did a lot of interning between university terms - there are a few things I've learned to look out for.

I've spent the past 8 years going between jobs and universities and think my experiences will be useful to anyone else like me who likes doing little bits of everything and just getting things done. Hopefully through horsesmouth I'll be able to offer some helpful advice and experiences to help other people get the most from what they're doing.
