Happy , University Student , A Friend
I am 20 years old and i am currently a student studying for a BscHons in Psychology with Criminology, I am going to be doing my last year which im looking forward to doing! In my spare time i compete for the my uni's cheerleading squad :D, see my friends and carry out various volunteering activities and of course work hard!
Once i leave university i am hopefully going to join the Probation Service in order to help others in the Criminal Justive System. I definatly believe that with some guidance and support people can change the route in which their life is heading.
My parents divorced when i was 6 years old. I still remember the unhappy times that my parents went through and me being sent to my nans very often.
Once my parents split up my dad moved back to the UK ( i live in the Channel Islands) and i saw him every holidays until i was 14 years old.
What people need to understand is that everything is done for a reason and i now know that what has come out of the divorce is a new family for me.
My mum has a new husband, i now have a 10 year old sister who means the world to me! Although i dont see my dad any more, i know have a new family which support me in everything that i do and that is very important to me.
After completing my last year at Sixth form i decided that i was going to go into employment, However after the closing date had closed for applicants to Universities i decided that i had made the wrong decision and that i wanted to carry on my studies in my interest of Psychology. I was determined to get on a course for that year and so i rang my first choice University and asked if they would accept me as a student to start in 3 months time.
They accepted my application and the best years of my life have been at uni,i have achieved so much more than i thought i would. Everyone is not settled on what they want to do but if you have a change of mind go for it... it could be the best decision and time of your life!
I may not be the most experienced in life so far as being only 20 years but what i have achieved i believe should be shared with everyone. Everyone has their own advice/tips even if they are little and these should be shared with everyone to enable the best support. I believe this type of mentoring is the best method of giving advice, You can be anywhere in the world and if you feel you need to talk to someone, someone is instantly there on the end of the computer.
Why not send out a general call for help to everyone
