I'm currently a professional fundraiser with an active interest in several charities.
I try to make it my policy to take every opportunity that comes my way and to fill every moment of my life with new, interesting and fun things that will help to keep me happy on a personal level and also will contribute to my personal, and professional growth. As part of the responsibilities of my current job role, I conduct both training and personal development coaching, and I have also designed a careers mentoring system for students. This has fed my interest in mentoring.

I'm not 100% certain where I'm going in life, but I think that for me it is probably more important to focus on how I get there - to get the most out of the here and now, and leave as many options open as possible.

I am a huge fan of all kinds of food (both making and eating), love going to the gym and am interested in martial arts. I also love reading because of the doors it can open in your imagination and in your mind.

Careers - applications

I am happy to give help and advice with applying for entry-level jobs (graduate schemes etc). As well as experience in applying for these, I know what it's like to sit on a recruitment panel, so can help out with 'insider information' on how to create a good impression, both in applications and interviews. I've also had successful personal experience at assessment centres and can give helpful tips for getting the most out of it (and giving the most to it)!

I can also give advice on how you can build up your skills set to make your CV stand out when you first apply, as well as presenting your existing experience in the most positive way.

Money Management / Saving

After years of living imaginatively on a tight budget, I have come up with lots of effective ways to get the most out of my money.

Relationships

I'm considered the main relationships agony aunt within my group of friends, and am happy to share wisdom of my own and of theirs to anyone who feels they would benefit.

I've done the long-distance thing (different countries), I know what it's like for a seemingly perfect relationship to end for reasons that can't be helped, and I know all about the difficulties when you first start living with someone. I have dealt with career/relationship conflicts, and have also learned to manage my own tendency to feel very jealous.

I think mentoring is a really positive way in which people can learn and benefit from the experiences of others. When I have difficulties or questions, I tend to seek the advice of others and I'm happy to give it when it's asked of me. Advice is free to give, but the benefits are often priceless. I'm convinced of the potential of mentoring to have a really positive influence on peoples careers, achievements and overall wellbeing.
