Ambitious , Caring , Active
I am very hard working and have been ever since i left college in 2005. I have always had a full time job and sometimes an evening job as well. I enjoy working and getting qualifications and meeting new people.
I currently work as the main receptionist and do alot of admin and work as the membership officer.
I live at home with my mum and brother, all my family live close by and getting on very well.
I got to my position today because of my past work experience and knowledge of this position, this is a combination of gcse's, A-Levels and my previous apprenticeship. I love to learn while i work but i also want to take a career break to travel around the world in the next few years.
I have worked or had experience in this area since 2005. I have worked in a high school. There i worked as many different roles, these included the main receptionist, general admin and in the reprographics room. I gain alot of experience there by meeting lots of new people and working with children. Schools are a busy place and you always have to think under pressure. There i completed my Business and Admin NVQ level 2 and was in the final for the apprentice of the year in 2008. After this 6 month placement I got a new job in a better paid position and i have completed my Business and admin NVQ level 3 and ITQ level 2. I was entered into the apprentice of the year again and was in the final for 2009. I also got to the final of the Northwest Learner awards 2009 and was high commended. Completing these NVQs and gaining real job experience has given me a wide knowledge in this topic.
Like most students at college, they have a part time job. This can be alot of hardwork as you have full time education, then going to work in the evenings and weekends. I did this in my second year of college, when i got my first car and ever since i became a workalcoholic.
For two months I had 3 jobs. I worked 8am-4pm at a high school, 5-9pm doing telesales and on a saturday, sometimes a sunday as well at a fast food resturant. I worked this much because the day job was getting my the experience and qualifications i needed, my evening jobs was earning me alot of money and my weekend job was my job i had all through college and enjoyed working with the people there. This of course was to much work for me to be doing and one of them had to give.
Even though an apprenticeship may not give you as much money as you would like, but there is not many places you can get paid for learning and gaining work experience, i recommended apprenticeships to everyone as a starting point.
I have enjoyed my experience being an apprentice and i still am, but from everything i have learnt i would like to be able to help other people. My trainers have always been there for me and taught my alot, so i will enjoy being able to help others. This kind of mentoring is a great idea because you sometimes just need someone elses opinion or just as a simple question, either way you know you have the support of other people no matter what.
Why not send out a general call for help to everyone
