I am happily married, we have a dog, lovely daughter and am blessed with a wonderful life which I have worked hard for on all levels! I changed professional occupation when I was 28 and then set up in business when I was 34. Our team has grown to nearly 50 and I worry about all of them as if they were my family! It is really quite tough juggling work and a personal life especially as your personal life is often so out of your control. During this time I lost my father to cancer, underwent three rounds of IVF and had three miscarriages. I am in my early forties now and passionate about celebrating life and living out new dreams.

My own experience includes: writing plans, presenting to high street banks, securing good terms of business and partnership agreements.

Selling, Cold Calling

I have to sell as well as deliver in my current role. Selling in particular cold calling is often thought of as worse than public speaking! I have over 12 years experience from being a business director of a large professional services organisation to building my own business. i have developed my own style as well as following best practice which typically works for me and hopefully may help others.

Dealing with big issues

Boy have I learnt loads, about cancer, miscarriages, marriage, jealous friends, being the eldest, working in a male dominated industry - all mostly the hard way!

When I left a corporate career path to set up in business I was blessed with two other partners. We were passionate and full of ambition to create something of our own, to be in control and use our energy and resources to the benefit of the three of us, our team and our clients. Several people have turned out to be great mentors on the way and six years later we are still growing a successful business. I am in no doubt that I could not of got where I am today without being part of a team or listening to other's experiences. I would like to help where possible others who want to start the business of their dreams, in particular those who are on their own and don't have the benefit of other partners or mentors to give them support. The early years can be make or break and anything I can contribute to help someone make it would be rewarding. I am no Anita Roderick or Richard Branson but if I can help I will do so.
