I am a recent Ph.D. graduate in the life sciences and a newlywed, and I am having trouble adjusting to my new life. My husband and loved ones are supportive, but no one can understand why I feel so unsure about my own life and where I am going. I have so many goals and things I want to do, yet every day feel so stuck and like I am going nowhere. I feel like I need to talk to someone who is totally outside my situation, who might have a more objective view. Specifically, I need advice on how to begin, so I can start progressing (and enjoying) this new chapter of my life.
