Hello, I have just joined Horses Mouth and hope to gain some good advice. I am 43 years old and recently returned to UK after living abroad for 8 years. Am finding it difficult to find work, I think because I have been out of the system for so long. I am applying for Admin jobs and hardly ever get any response, presumably because there are so many applicants.
Would like to do some voluntary work to enhance my CV and have an interview at Citizens Advice Bureau to see if I can train to be an adviser. Will this improve my chances at getting a paid job?
Seeking any career advice or ideas, am getting quite down about it all.
"If anyone is having troubles at school, don''t hesitate to drop me a line! Bullying/exam worries/applying to college or university, I can offer advice :)..."
"When it comes to "what if" maybe you need to stop looking in your rear-view mirror, because you're going to miss the turning on the road ahead..."
